Filled with logical fallacies。 He paints with an extremely wide brush and any step towards socialism automatically puts you to the left of Marx。 Filled with straw man arguments and name calling, but short on substance。

Matthew Vanwormer

Awesome。 Exposes the Left and their absolute crazy and radical ideas。

Even if you are not a Republican or if you do not like Donald Trump this book is about America and the people in America。 I found this to be a very eye-opening read on what it was like behind the scenes of the Trump administration。 I am reading this after the 2020 election and find it absolutely amazing how much the Trumps predicted would happen to our America, and it is happening。 Biden has opened our borders and has made a mess of our country in just eight short weeks。 Thank you for writing th Even if you are not a Republican or if you do not like Donald Trump this book is about America and the people in America。 I found this to be a very eye-opening read on what it was like behind the scenes of the Trump administration。 I am reading this after the 2020 election and find it absolutely amazing how much the Trumps predicted would happen to our America, and it is happening。 Biden has opened our borders and has made a mess of our country in just eight short weeks。 Thank you for writing this book and God bless America 。。。more

The problem in America (and in most Western countries) in recent times is the main stream media。Due to the advent of the www, competition has sky-rocketed and their normal income streams have been ripped apart。Consequently, the media has morphed and have taken the place of the common call-girl who stands at a busy corner begging for some action。 In Italy they call them puttanas or if you are French la putain。 These putannas now rarely give the news, instead distort and muddy facts。This has cause The problem in America (and in most Western countries) in recent times is the main stream media。Due to the advent of the www, competition has sky-rocketed and their normal income streams have been ripped apart。Consequently, the media has morphed and have taken the place of the common call-girl who stands at a busy corner begging for some action。 In Italy they call them puttanas or if you are French la putain。 These putannas now rarely give the news, instead distort and muddy facts。This has caused American society to become deeply divided on many issues and people cannot have discussion or a debate as everyone has become sensitive。 I'm not American, however the world needs a stable USA as it could be a stable cantilever to whatever else might happen in the world。What I've noticed in recent times is that the media has propagated issues that many of it's protagonists use to further an agenda that cause these divisions to become deeper and unrepairable。To top this it has become common to silence debate and excluding people from social network platforms solely due to their differing views。 Is this the land of freedom? The book written by Donald Trump junior is a response to all the backlash he, his father and family have suffered over the last 4 years。 It is not high grade literature, however I found it interesting reading as it gives a perspective of what's happened that most of the main stream media would never ever present。 。。。more

Shared some strong opinions and generalized left vs。 right a lot。 Didn't love the tone of the book and the divisiveness。 However, still shared some interesting insights on policies, programs, biases of the media, and other platform differences that ought to be kept in mind too。 Maybe worth the read if you can read it objectively and take out the principles shared rather than the partisan divisions。 Shared some strong opinions and generalized left vs。 right a lot。 Didn't love the tone of the book and the divisiveness。 However, still shared some interesting insights on policies, programs, biases of the media, and other platform differences that ought to be kept in mind too。 Maybe worth the read if you can read it objectively and take out the principles shared rather than the partisan divisions。 。。。more

Using a mix of fact and sarcasium, the author takes on the political left and Democrat Party in defense of his father, President Donald J。 Trump。 As one of the few pro-Trump books published, Triggered explores the agendas of the Leftists and the DNC。 A good read for those who are wiilling to explore all sides of an issue。

TriggeredThe best part of this book was the personal part regarding his spending time with his grandparents, his schooling, his gap year, his love for the outdoors and leading the work ethic he has。 While I agreed with his beliefs, the book just seemed like a huge rant。

In the interest of understanding those I disagree with, I got this from the library。 Does using the library make me a capitalism hating commie? Probably。 Anyways this book was not good。 It’s basically an extended hot take espoused into written form。 DJT Jr’s thoughts are about as deep as the tweets he quotes from himself about himself。 You’re really not missing anything by not reading this book。 And I imagine if you’re the type of person who reads much, it’s probably healthier for your blood pre In the interest of understanding those I disagree with, I got this from the library。 Does using the library make me a capitalism hating commie? Probably。 Anyways this book was not good。 It’s basically an extended hot take espoused into written form。 DJT Jr’s thoughts are about as deep as the tweets he quotes from himself about himself。 You’re really not missing anything by not reading this book。 And I imagine if you’re the type of person who reads much, it’s probably healthier for your blood pressure not to read this。There’s a fair amount of pithy “gotchas“ that don’t really hold up under scrutiny。 A lot of finger pointing and ad hominem attacks, but what else is new。 The writing is pretty basic and clear, which is unfortunate because the thoughts are muddled。 Junior floats above real world problems or solutions in favor of pissy statements and empty talking points。 I did gain some respect for Junior when he discussed his childhood visits to the Czech Republic and some of the experiences associated with that。 Unfortunately he uses it as a launching pad against socialism。 Strawmanning an argument that universal healthcare leads to bread lines。 He also seems to think the spending some summers hanging out with your grandparents is the same as actually living that life, I guess my summers at Boy Scout camp make me a park ranger or John Muir。 The rest of the book follows a similar trajectory。 Finger-pointing followed by sugary personal story about how great or down-to-earth he is。 At one point he refers to a large pice of Machinery that he knows how to drive as a “Caterpillar D10 bulldozer” which, having worked on a couple construction sites myself, is kind of like referring to your iPhone as a “Apple iPhone XS with iOS 14。4。” I don’t know anyone who does this。 And it rings really hollow。 Junior is the poster child of privilege。 The bosses son who does some secretarial work is still the bosses son。 You didn’t “come up from the bottom of the organization“ if you were a tourist in several departments before finally claiming your spot as second in command。I think the real negative in the meat of this book is that Don positions himself as being eminently reasonable while obscuring a big part of whatever he’s talking about。 It’s the “I was just joking” rhetorical walkback but in persuasive form。 He will point to Don senior as being a great business person while obscuring the fact that he bankrupted a casino。 He points to a few long days on the campaign trail as evidence of Sr。 work ethic while ignoring the hundreds of days spent playing golf as president。 He points to the founding of the US and religious freedom and a sentence later calls the US a Christian nation。 I think it’s a valuable skill to have and I’m going to attempt it when I pay rent this month, “The important thing to focus on here is the $50 I DID give you。” Wish me luck。 This is ultimately a thinly veiled cover letter from Junior, who I think hopes to run for President himself in a few years。 It contains enough strawman arguments to protect all the cornfields in Kansas。 Like I said above。 You’re not missing anything by ignoring this。 。。。more

4 stars as a memoir。 2 stars as a political commentary。He really did himself a disservice by saying that if you aren’t a Trump supporter then you shouldn’t read his book。 Because I’m not a Trump supporter but this book offered great perspective。 I was able to see how his experiences shaped his views。 I was able to see the humanity of him because people are not all bad or good。I agreed with some things。 I disagreed with others。 But I liked getting to know and understand him。The reason why I loved 4 stars as a memoir。 2 stars as a political commentary。He really did himself a disservice by saying that if you aren’t a Trump supporter then you shouldn’t read his book。 Because I’m not a Trump supporter but this book offered great perspective。 I was able to see how his experiences shaped his views。 I was able to see the humanity of him because people are not all bad or good。I agreed with some things。 I disagreed with others。 But I liked getting to know and understand him。The reason why I loved this book as a memoir and not as a political commentary is that the organization and tone is better suited for a memoir。 It was organized through his experience and often felt jumbled if you were focusing on the political ideas。 Also, he did not attempt to see the politics of America from a comprehensive viewpoint。 He cited stories and date to support his ideas while disregarding other stories and data。 Once again, great as a memoir and not so much as a political commentary。I recommend this to people like me who voted against Trump because it is important to know the feelings and experiences of others。 。。。more

In a time where media determines what and how things are said, it is refreshing to go to the individuals themselves and hear the reasons behind their opinions。 I learned a lot about Trump Jr。, its a good reminder that there is more to the surface than headlines。 Of course his points are quite opinionated, but I went into it expecting no less。 It was an interesting read, very clearly his voice and personal story, but that's what I find interesting- what makes people tick! Quite an interesting read and I started to like Don Jr。 after reading this。 Despite what all of the other reviewers are saying the book is pretty bluntly written and has slight humor in it。 Yes, he was part of a rich family and unfortunately one of the most hated at the moment but he also knows what hard work is and has an appreciation for honest folk。 I say: go read it with an open mind and don’t let the biases towards Don Sr。 get in the way。

Paulette

I will read every book I can find relating to the Trump presidency。 Everyone needs to have knowledge from all sides。

Interesting take from the presidents kid — how many people actually have THAT story to tell? Don Jr writes well, like he’s across the table telling you how it is。。 but also in a way that he really knows what he’s talking about。 Enjoyed hearing his perspective on life, both growing up and current。

I realize that, as a non-Trump supporter, I'm not the target demographic for this *masterpiece*。 But, wow, that was really bad。 Mr。 Trump begins the book by informing the reader that, as a "rich white guy living in 2019" he isn't "allowed to have an opinion anymore。" Ironic, considering that a) he goes on to give his opinion for another 250 pages, and b) America just elected another rich white guy (namely Joe Biden) to president。 He continues to paint all Republicans everywhere as victims of t I realize that, as a non-Trump supporter, I'm not the target demographic for this *masterpiece*。 But, wow, that was really bad。 Mr。 Trump begins the book by informing the reader that, as a "rich white guy living in 2019" he isn't "allowed to have an opinion anymore。" Ironic, considering that a) he goes on to give his opinion for another 250 pages, and b) America just elected another rich white guy (namely Joe Biden) to president。 He continues to paint all Republicans everywhere as victims of tHe LeFt (in case you weren't aware, the prominent political party consisting entirely of socialists, Karl Marx, and Alexandria Osacio-Cortez)。 tHe LeFt apparently deals entirely in conspiracy theories that " Trump supporters were going to riot in the streets" and "refuse to accept the results of the election" if Trump lost in 2016。 So, that aged well。 The esteemed author then gives a number of anecdotes about his Czechoslovakian grandparents' experiences under communism, and how "the scars of socialism are seared" into his grandmother's memory。 Forgive me if I am wrong, but aren't communism and socialism, oh, I don't know, two entirely different things? Also, "the magazine Teen Vogue spreads propaganda and has become a socialist influencer for teenage girls。。。 it has run articles that criticized capitalism。。。 and described anal sex。" Sounds like these socialists are a wild bunch indeed。 Other marvelous tidbits include repeated stories that highlight what an excellent father Donald Trump Sr was, the author's anger and astonishment when YouTube demonetized a comedian who used the terms "lispy queer" and "angry little queer," and (my personal favorite) a story about going to a frat party (to campaign for his father, of course)。 Overall, an excellent work of satire。 。。。more
